You Have No Idea.

This one goes out to you. Yes, to you. This is one of the best things anyone has ever said to me. And, even though I am not going to say who you are, I just wanted to let you know that you said a part of the things that I needed to hear in one of the darkest moments of my life. I was, literally, going through hell. There is no way you know how suicidal I was back then. I was a mere shadow of the joyful crazy-ass person I loved to be. I was desperate and depressed. And then I read what you wrote about me and my blog. It was the first time I believed that all was not lost. That there was hope still for someone like me. You reminded me that losing love doesn´t make you useless. That I still had some part (very deep down) of whatever I was before falling in love with an asshole. Thanks to you, my sadness would not define me. You gave me hope in myself and made me want to believe in me again. And God knows I had lost that. That there are still things that are worth living for. That my story was yet to be written. You didn´t write it explicitly or say it. But that´s the effect your words had on me.

I wanted to publicly (don´t really know how to spell it, hopefully that was right) acknowledge how much you helped. More than you´ll ever know. And for that, I will be eternally gratefull. You will soon take over the world, my friend. And I´ll be in the front row seat watching you do it.

For making me want to live again, for opening a small window and for turning the lights back on, you will have my inconditional friendship. Eternally. "Thank you" is a small set of words for what you did for me, without knowing it, that night.
